A crown claimed, not given.

Emerald Gaze II — Marked Crown explores the quiet strength of self-definition and the courage to claim one's own identity.

The woman's composed gaze contrasts with a bold, instinctively drawn crown that rises above her dark, expressive curls. Black and golden marks interrupt the portrait, introducing a sense of rebellion and individuality into an otherwise intimate composition.

The crown is not a symbol of status, superiority or authority over others. Instead, it represents the freedom to determine one's own worth — without permission, recognition or external validation.

Expressive brushstrokes, layered colors and fragmented marks create a visual tension between vulnerability and confidence, control and spontaneity.

As the companion to Emerald Gaze I, this artwork introduces a new dimension to the original portrait. Where the first conveys quiet presence, the second transforms that presence into a deliberate statement of identity.

True strength begins when you no longer need permission to be yourself.
