"Not the Whole Story" explores the distance between what is visible and what remains hidden. The fragmented portrait reveals only parts of its subject, while bold marks, interrupted features, and contrasting forms obscure everything that cannot be understood at first glance.
Neither eye is fully visible. One is concealed behind a bold black star, while the other disappears beneath an intense red mark. The absence of the gaze creates a deliberate distance between the subject and the viewer—we are allowed to look, but not given full access. The symbols and fragmented contours become visual barriers, suggesting the labels, assumptions, and incomplete impressions through which we often perceive another person.
Part of the Beyond the Visible series, the work reflects on identity, perception, and the limits of what can truly be known from the outside. A face may be visible, a story may appear to reveal itself, yet something essential always remains beyond our reach.

Printed as a large-format 70 × 100 cm fine art print using archival pigment inks on museum-grade Hahnemühle German Etching paper. Each print is individually signed and numbered by the artist as part of a strictly limited edition of 50 prints.
